We ordered for the first time. Delicious. We are already looking forward to the abolition of the excessive regulations. Then we'd love to come by in person.

I’ve eaten there in summer and ordered a takeout, food is great, service is great, and although the takeout order went wrong they corrected it straight away, delivered a new dish, an extra naan to apologize and refunded money for a missing dish. Customer service at this level is exceptional.

Not good food. Our duck meat could not be detached from the bone and was very firm to the bite. U.U. the poultry was a bit old. It drew in the restaurant because the door was always open. The reason for this is the tent operated outside the restaurant.

Has not eaten so well for a long time, the staff was very nice and accommodating! Food was seasoned perfectly and the meat was super tender! Will definitely be back 🥰

Service now well established. Staff polite and attentive. Choice of dishes incredible and taste fantastic. Rooms are spacious and yet cozy. Definitely worth a visit.

The first visit remains the last. My wife and I were about to sit down as we were asked to take a table in the corner with a view of a board shed. Despite the very, very many free tables! When asked why we should sit so badly, the following answer came up: "It could be that many other guests are still coming today." Question: "Are these tables reserved?" Answer: "No" We left the restaurant very surprised and spent a nice evening in a restaurant in Zehlendorf. There one was happy even if only a couple came to dinner and one was amazed that we had a nice table.

I loved the chicken curry. The taste was perfect, not too mild and not too spicy. Really recommandable.

Worst restaurant ever seen. A few days ago I went to the restaurant. The view was amazing, but the rest of the things are poor and pathetic. Food is like hell, no salt and pepper and drinks like watery, no taste at all. I service was bad the last time you have to wait forever for payment

Good food at reasonable prices. Please follow up on the operation. While we were placing the order, someone came from behind, put Papadam on the table and said something about it. We couldn't understand that - because we were talking. Clear the table before you put new things on it and please serve from the right. There was space. My companion was frightened every time someone appeared next to her and held the tablet in front of her head. But the food was very good. We will be back.

On our first visit at lunch we had a good experience here but upon the second visit for dinner, bigger group and a busier time we were disappointed and I don't think we'll come back. The food is good but we were not happy with the lack of hygiene in these Corona times, no facemasks on the staff, no distance be between the tables, no requirement to leave name and address. The rules in Brandenburg may be lax but as the owner of a restaurant I would say last try and give people the feeling it is safe.

The food is really delicious, special and not like every 0815 Indian. The restaurant itself / the ambience is tasteful and really nice. However, after our 3rd visit I have to deduct 2 stars. The service has decreased. The waitress seemed annoyed when taking the order and with questions about the dish, which has a negative effect on the guest. The tables were cleared quickly and you were no longer asked whether everything was okay or you would like to order something. It made you feel like you were being kicked out. Pity!

I was invited by a friend yesterday. Parking is available but with a good number of visitors it should quickly reach its limit. The restaurant looks very nice from the outside. The approach from the motorway is also very short. The outdoor restaurant area was very well attended. Great ambience. Fast service. Food was great - price / performance ratio was 100%. Then music played accompanied by a live saxophone. It's a different atmosphere than other Indian restaurants. Simply more relaxed and not so concerned about mass processing. The toilets are very well maintained and since I always look at the toilet paper, they are also 5 stars. 3-ply and not always as thin paper as in most other restaurants or bars in Berlin. I can recommend the restaurant 100%.

Tested this restaurant today due to the many positive reviews. Taken away three tandoori dishes for a total of 42 euros (togo). No bread, no side dishes (except for a bland green salad). The chicken was ok, the lamb fillet overcooked. It's a shame, despite the nice atmosphere, we won't go much further towards the competition.

Good location in the countryside, right on the Teltow Canal and the lock. Interesting groups of figures about the history of Gandhi. Good food and great service. Also easy to reach with various bus connections. I walked from Steglitz, always along the canal, that's 10 km. With the bus back to Teltow city, there the S 25 goes back to the south end.

The new BAPU restaurant can really be recommended without reservation. There were five of us yesterday and we enjoyed everything very, very much. Outstanding, friendly service. There was a lot of staff on site, so there was hardly any waiting time. The food was very good and you can sit outside in a great atmosphere. All in all a great evening. We'll definitely be back.

It’s clear that some of the reviews on here are “home made”. They are easy to identify and make my review all the more authentic. We sat at our table at 21:20 hopeful of a wonderful Indian culinary delight. But it went downhill from the start.... The initial service was painfully slow. We waited over 15 minutes just to receive refreshments. Also the service was typically aggressive and unfriendly. But this is because the waitress was German. The Indians (and any other nationality) are so much better. The excuse from the management: The staff had been very busy all day serving 300 people. My answer: So why should guests 301 and 302 receive a poor standard of service for the same price? Eventually the food came, which I cannot fault. The duck was a little dry and overcooked, but the vegan option was very good. The plates were cold!!! The live music was horrendous. A German band playing and singing 80s UK/US hits....badly!!! Through all this, the restaurant continued to play Indian music through their speaker system. Then, we became aware of our table being constantly bumped by staff removing tables and chairs from the garden area. Again I challenged this... The excuse from the management: The staff had to take the furniture in because they were getting ready to close and the staff needed to get home and needed to get the bus/train. My answer: Having your table being banged around while eating is not acceptable. The management stated the staff needed to take public transport before it was too late. I have lived only 500m from the restaurant for 13 years and can confirm that public transport runs 24 hours into Berlin. The management denied this, also saying that the furniture is expensive and would be ruined if it got wet. The forecast was for 5-6 days of hot dry weather! I asked the management about these incidents and if they had been customers if they would have been happy with the service and experience. The answer was “No”. So why should paying customers also have to accept this?? Basically, it’s good food. But the industrial scale of their operation means that customer focus is lost. It is clear that the staff have only been trained to take food orders, take the food to the table and then take it away. My advice: IF YOU WANT QUALITY INDIAN FOOD AND EXCELLENT SERVICE, PLEASE CONSIDER THE TAJ MAHAL IN STAHNSDORF OR THE INDIA HAUS IN WANNSEE.

A very nicely located restaurant. Directly at the lock and therefore also on the water. Perfect for going for a walk after a hearty meal. The outdoor area is nicely laid out and offers space for many guests. The service is very friendly and helpful. The food was well presented and delicious. The portions were sufficient for all of us. We give a clear recommendation and would be happy to come back 👍🏻

Have driven by several times and now met the family for dinner there! Reservation online worked great and everything was thought of. The service is very friendly and the drinks and food were quickly at the table. The main course also tasted very good :-) We felt very comfortable with usb and would be happy to come back!

I was with a group (6 people) and received a very friendly welcome. We made a reservation and therefore quickly got a seat. We sat comfortably and were served afterwards. The food came all at the same time (very good !!) so that everyone could start eating. The cocktails were adorned sweetly and tasted very delicious, so we didn't just stick to one round. Thank you for the nice service. We would love to come back.

Some of the best Indian food i've had during my time in Berlin and surroundings. The curry's are great, and the deserts are real masterpieces. Lovely location at the water as well - real gem.

A small Indian oasis in the middle of Kleinmachnow. Wonderful ambience, very high quality and with great attention to detail ... The food was very good and the cocktails excellent. We would love to come back to end the evening there. Extraordinary setting, child-friendly and good food.

Very tasty food, with lots of fresh herbs and dishes that you don't see that often. The restaurant is furnished with great attention to detail without being over the top. The staff is prudent and quick. It's nice to sit in the garden, especially now in summer. Although it has just opened, it is busy and it is obviously advisable to make reservations. The in-house parking spaces are also practical.

I highly recommend!! I heard many good things about this place and after many days in isolation, this is the first place I went to have dinner with my family. The food was spectacular. Also the staff provided amazing service. This place is so beuatiful and definetly deserves 5 stars.

I went with my sisters and I was new to the area. My friends recommended Bapu. I went to go check it out. The best desi cuisine I’ve tasted. Very sweet to customers. And served fresh!!!!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I had lunch here with my colleagues, and I had an amazing time. The food here was super delicious and comforting. The place itself looks astonishing and unique. Additionally, the people that work here are super efficient and friendly. I highly recommend coming here!!!!
